Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Scraper Operator to join our construction team. As a Scraper Operator, you will load, transport, and dump soil, gravel, or other construction material in support of site grading at job sites. This role requires precision, attention to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

·         Operate scraper equipment to move, distribute, and level earth, rock, sand, and other construction material.

·         Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance tasks.

·         Safely maneuver the scraper around job sites, including tight or uneven areas.

·         Communicate with ground crews and other operators using radios or hand signals.

·         Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure equipment is functioning properly.

·         Adjust blade and bowl depth as needed to maintain cut/fill balance.

·         Follow all company safety policies and procedures. 

Qualifications:

  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience operating scrapers.
  • Strong focus on safety, awareness, and equipment care.
  • Familiarity with grading and excavation procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods (8-10 hours).
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  •    Frequent climbing in and out of equipment using ladders or steps.

Work Environment

  • May require overtime, weekend work, and out-of-town travel based on project schedules.
